Vivat Slovakia It is an open-world video game set in the freshly established democratic country at the border of Western and Eastern Europe, Slovakia. As old ways of communism are still not rooted out, the state enforcement agencies are weak and corruption is deeply embedded. Money and violence govern. An era well deserving of its name the wild 90s. The streets are controlled by mob gangs that are protected by law and not afraid to show their power even during broad daylight. Racketeering, exploding cars and other ways of settling scores are daily occurrences. The ways of the gangs became useful to some government’s elites, who utilize them for their dirty work. The difference between the secret service and organized crime is being blurred. Parties that should oppose each other are now hand in hand in gaining money and power. For the ordinary citizen, the connections are paramount and the only way up. One saying became widely known: “You don’t have what you don’t steal. The game despite its current flaws, manages to capture my attention with its ambitious scope and potential for greatness. Let’s address the elephant in the room: yes, this game is in early access, and yes, it has its fair share of issues. From occasional bugs to performance hiccups, it’s clear that Vivat Slovakia is still a work in progress. However, beneath these rough edges lies a diamond in the rough. One of the most striking aspects of the game is its expansive open world, reminiscent of the sprawling cities found in the GTA series. The level of detail is impressive, from bustling streets to quickly-growing city, and it’s clear that the developers have poured their heart and soul into crafting this immersive environment. Despite its current shortcomings, I can’t help but feel optimistic about the future of Vivat Slovakia. With regular updates and community feedback, there’s no doubt in my mind that this game has the potential to evolve into something truly special. I’m excited to see how the developers expand upon the existing world, adding new features, missions, and perhaps even multiplayer functionality down the line.
