When federal agents threaten his family, former outlaw John Marston is forced to hunt down the gang of criminals he once called friends. Red Dead Redemption spans three distinct territories across the American Southwest and Mexico. New Austin is the last outpost of the American frontier and home to scattered townships and forts. South of the border lies the Mexican province of Nuevo Paraíso, where talk of a civil war is brewing in the hills. The northern-most territory of West Elizabeth is home to the rapidly modernizing city of Blackwater.
